GRAHAM BOOTH (BUNTHA)
TRIBE: The Bunthamarra People
AREA: Bulloo River - South West QLD
My "Bush Flower" paintings.
I belong to the "BUNTHAMARRA PEOPLE"
or "DESERT PEOPLE"
As a child, my Grandfather would teach me the stories of our "Dreamtime". I loved listening to his stories, and then expressing them through my own artwork. I first learned from my older cousin, Brian "Winjella Dada", how to paint. Over many years of painting, I have now formed my own artistic style.
In my homeland, the "Bush flowers", or Desert Flowers" would appear beautifully across the landscape after every rain period. This is one favourite memory that I love expression through my artwork.
"Today, my paintings tell the story of my Grandfather's Dreaming."
