Arthur
Conlon is an Australian Aboriginal artist who lives in
Queensland, Australia. He started painting at the age of
nine by studying the traditional techniques of his uncles.
He is now a successful artist with traditional works in
collections all over Australia. Arthur is known
domestically as well as internationally, as a supplier of
authentic aboriginal fine art.
Arthur's
design inspiration, comes from his own experiences as a
descendant of the Wakka Wakka tribes of Queensland and the
flora and fauna of the Kabi Kabi region of the same area.
Arthur
was recently commissioned by CHOGM (Commonwealth Heads of
Government Meeting) 2002, to create a large traditional
aboriginal piece for viewing by visiting dignitaries and
media.
